Rodney James Alcala, "The Dating Game Killer," dies in prison at age 77

Alcala, who was sentenced to death for five slayings in the late 1970s, got his nickname for his appearance on a 1978 episode of The Dating Game even though none of his victims had a connection to the show. Alcala died of natural causes.
