As part of the deal, the licenses to Quibi shows will transfer to The Roku Channel, Roku's app, in the coming months. Quibi doesn't actually own any of its shows. So Roku is just buying the licenses for shows from the failed tshortform streaming service that launched last April and shut down in December. Roku is acquiring more than 75 shows. “The most creative and imaginative minds in Hollywood created groundbreaking content for Quibi that exceeded our expectations,” Quibi founder Jeffrey Katzenberg saidFriday. “We are thrilled that these stories, from the surreal to the sublime, have found a new home on The Roku Channel.”
