Ryan Seacrest: American Idol is “what the country needs right now”

Seacrest implied that he thinks Idol can be a uniting force during these divisive times: “The show's format, when it's done right, it's so strong, and what the country needs right now. I think it's a good time for a big family show, but the surprises that are going to come, I'm guessing will be some judges announcements very soon,” he says.
