Vulture's Megh Wright reports that the Saturday Night Live head writing team of Michael Che, Colin Jost, Kent Sublette and Anna Drezen is staying intact for Season 47. She also reports that Martin Herlihy is one of the 10 new writers. Herlihy is the son of former SNL writer and frequent Adam Sandler collaborator Tim Herlihy, who co-wrote Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison and many other Sandler hits. John Higgins, son of SNL writer-producer and Jimmy Fallon announcer/sidekick Steve Higgins, is also joining the writing staff. Mike DiCenzo, who stepped down as Fallon Tonight Show executive producer in 2018, is also among the 10 new writers, along with That Damn Michael Che performer Alex English.
