Saturday Night Live had been scheduled to return on March 28 with host John Krasinski and musical guest Dua Lipa. According to Variety's Kate Aurthur, "since Saturday Night Live films in front of a live audience in New York City, one of the epicenters of the coronavirus outbreak, it’s only logical to cancel the program." The last SNL season to be disrupted was Season 33 in the 2007-2008 season, which consisted of 12 episodes due to the writer's strike.
