Showtime boss David Nevins said over the summer that he was "dying" to bring back Cohen's summer sensation prank series. But Cohen says on The Hollywood Reporter's Awards Chatter podcast that he doesn't plan to bring back Who Is America? "I will never be able to get a politician to bare his buttocks while screaming, 'God bless America!' and screaming the N-word," he says. Cohen adds that he doesn't have other characters for another season. "It's like The Ali G Show in England — I did one season. And the idea is not to make it a Seinfeld or an SNL," he added. Cohen pointed to the five hours it takes to transform himself into his characters in makeup. "It is grueling … I'm too lazy to do this." Showtime declined comment when asked about the show's future. Still, Cohen saying he's done with the show doesn't mean it's actually done since another season would have to be secretly made.
