Earlier this year, the actress known for playing Bayside High fashionista Lisa Turtle feeling "a bit slighted and hurt" when she wasn't asked back for Peacock's reboot. (At the time, Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Tiffani Thiessen were also not signed on.) Peacock has now announced Voorhies will indeed appear with a photo of Lisa in 2020, saying in a statement "when the show picks up with Lisa, she is thriving with a successful career in fashion." It's unknown the extent of Voorhies' involvement in the reboot. When the reboot news was announced in February, Voorhies, who was previously diagnosed with Schizoaffective disorder, said on the Dr. Oz Show: "I have to admit I did feel a bit slighted and hurt when I was not invited to be part of the Saved by the Bell reunion, as well as other cast members’ events. Yet of course, I also realized that having this puzzling disorder may have played a major part in that factual decision.”
