Meyers announced he tested positive this morning a day after NBC late-night colleague Jimmy Fallon revealed he had tested positive during the holidays. Meyers tested negative for COVID when he returned to Late Night on Monday, reports The New York Times, which notes that all on-air Late Night talent was being tested daily. Meyers taped his show with a live audience with his guests -- This Is Us stars Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz and Justin Hartley and David Byrne -- all appearing remotely. "The bad news is, I tested positive for COVID (thanks, 2022!) the good news is, I feel fine (thanks vaccines and booster!)" Meyers tweeted. "We are canceling the rest of the shows this week, so tune in next Monday to see what cool location we will try and pass off as a studio!!!"
