Noxon said at SXSW that she and Sharp Objects author Gillian Flynn have been talking about bringing back the HBO limited series for Season 2. “Maybe there will be a sequel," said Noxon, who was at SXSW promoting her film directorial debut To the Bone. "Maybe we’ll get to find out (more about Adora and Camille’s sister). Gillian and I have thoughts on it.” Flynn also said Sharp Objects was originally envisioned as an ongoing series that wasn't just focused on Camille, but the people of Wild Gap. When asked last summer about Sharp Objects returning for Season 2, HBO programming president Casey Bloys said: "No plans for a second season. We are very happy with this living as a limited series.”
