Shock G, pioneering Digital Underground hip-hop artist and producer, dies at 57

Gregory Davis, who performed as Shock G and Humpty Hump, was best known for starring in Digital Underground's 1990 MTV hit music video "The Humpty Dance." But he was just as instrumental behind the scenes in producing Tupac Shakur's early music. In fact, Shock G joined Digital Underground and Tupac in performing on a 1992 episode of the Fox sitcom Drexell's Class -- also appearing with fellow guest-star Jason Priestley.
