Showtime boss David Nevins' CBS chief content officer promotion comes three years after he turned down Les Moonves' offer to run CBS Entertainment

Nevins was then president of Showtime in 2015 when he leveraged Moonves' job offer to become CEO of the pay cable network. Now, thanks to his "chief content officer" promotion, Nevins will not only oversee CBS Entertainment, but he'll supervise CBS All Access, a portion of The CW, CBS Television Studios while continuing to run Showtime with the added title of chairman.
