Mack was sobbing when she appeared in Brooklyn federal court today to plead guilty to racketeering and racketeering conspiracy charges — including extortion and forced labor — hours before jury was set to begin hearing her case. “I’m here to plead guilty before your honor,” Mack said, adding.: “I must take full responsibility for my conduct. I am very sorry for my role in this case. I am very sorry to my family and to the good people I hurt through my misguided adherence to (NXIVM leader) Keith Raniere’s teachings." It's unclear if Mack reached a plea deal. She faces 20 years in prison for the charges she pleaded guilty to on Monday.
