Star Trek: Short Treks standalone series gets premiere date

The four-episode series will debut on Oct. 4 ahead of the Star Trek: Discovery Season 2 premiere next year. Each episode will revolve around a key character on Discovery, including Doug Jones' Saru, Mary Wiseman's Tilly and Rainn Wilson's Harry Mudd.
