Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic shelved following Gina Carano's firing

Lucasfilm executive creative director Dave Filoni tells Variety that the planned Mandalorian spinoff was no longer in active development. Since Rangers of the New Republic was announced last December, Disney has kept quiet about it. That's likely because it was expected to revolve around Carano's Cara Dune. Carano was fired in February over offensive social media posts.
