Stephen Colbert issues a "rare correction" after calling an anti-Trump conservative a "Trump ally"

The Late Show host said sorry Thursday to conservative columnist Jonah Goldberg after calling him a "Trump ally" when he's one of the most vocal anti-Trump conservatives. “To many Americans, the label Trump ally is a hurtful slur I’m surprised CBS even allows me to say that on air,” Colbert said. “It’s the sort of divisive hate speech that we are trying to get rid of in our national discourse, like ‘Cuck’ and ‘Papa John.’ So, Mr. Goldberg, please accept this bouquet of regrets.”
