“I guess there are no good people left,” Colbert said on Thursday's Late Show in reaction to the news that the U.S. senator, whom Colbert says he’s long admired, is now part of the sexual misconduct scandals rocking Hollywood. “But, I’ve got to say, this does not bode well for Louis CK’s Senate hopes,” Colbert joked. Colbert also scolded Franken for his initial apology that the photo of broadcaster Leeann Tweeden was “clearly intended to be funny but it wasn’t. I shouldn’t have done it.” Colbert shot back: “No, your movie Stuart Saves His Family was intended to be funny but wasn’t.” ALSO: Seth Meyers says “that is horrifying” in response to fellow SNL alum Franken’s scandal.
