On Monday night, President Trump retweeted a tweet claiming his entire 2015 interview with Colbert was removed from the internet, writing: "So revealing!" Colbert responded via Twitter. "I don't know why the president would take time on a National Day of Mourning to retweet something weird like this, but the original clips have always been online. 16 million views. Here they are," he tweeted, linking to the YouTube videos of their interview. During his Late Show monologue, Colbert called out the president for falsely saying that the New York Stock exchange was open the day after the Sept. 11 attacks while speaking at a rally on the same day of the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting. Colbert also spoke seriously about Saturday's massacre. "It’s tragic, it’s sickening and our thoughts are with the victims, their families and the larger Jewish community,” Colbert said during his monologue. “More than that, I want to say, hate is not what America stands for and tonight all of us are with you.”
