Colbert originally planned to start going without a live studio audience on Monday. "In light of recent developments in NYC, we’ll be without an audience tonight in the Ed Sullivan Theater," The Late Show's Twitter account tweeted. The Late Show opted to put its no-audience plan into effect today as Broadway went dark at 5 p.m. ET. UPDATE: Colbert is suspending Late Show production for the next two weeks. Tonight's episode will be the last until March 30.
