Braxton, star of WE TV's Braxton Family Values and the upcoming Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life!, will no longer work with the cable network after complaining about “excessive and unfair” work demands following her hospitalization for attempted suicide. The decision comes one day after Braxton alleged in a lengthy statement posted to Instagram Thursday that the cable network “betrayed…overworked, and underpaid” her. Variety reports that "Braxton will appear in several episodes of Braxton Family Values Season 7, which started production before Braxton’s suicide attempt and subsequent comments. As for Get Ya Life!, WE TV already delayed the show’s debut earlier this week, and sources say the first six episodes (which is all that has been shot so far) will likely still air as planned from Sept. 10." In fact, WE TV tells TMZ it will air Get Ya Life! as it was intended and will do no further editing. Braxton was WE TV's second highest-paid talent, behind sister Toni Braxton. “Tamar Braxton has been an important part of our network family for more than a decade," WE TV said in a statement. As she focuses on her health and recovery at what is clearly a difficult and personal time, we will work with her representatives to honor her request to end all future work for the network. We wish her nothing but the best."
