The CW taps the Gossip Girl team as it becomes the latest network to try a Nancy Drew TV series

CBS and NBC have both failed attempts in recent years to bring Nancy Drew to the small screen. Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are behind the latest attempt for The CW, along with writer Noga Landau. Their proposed show revolves around an 18-year-old Nancy Drew in the summer after her high school graduation who sticks around her hometown instead of going to college in order to conduct a murder investigation.
