Mike Flanagan says he and his team scouted for months in Georgia, "and we found that house as it is. We didn’t even touch it. We weren’t actually allowed to go inside. We only used the outside of it. We found it just off in the middle of the woods, in the middle of LaGrange, Ga., by itself, and I just fell in love with it." As for whether The Haunting of Hill House returns for another season, thanks to its popularity, Flanagan says: "I don’t want to speculate too much about season two until Netflix and Paramount and Amblin let us know if they want one. What I will say, though, is that as far as I’ve ever been concerned with this, the story of the Crain family is told. It’s done. I think that there are all sorts of different directions we could go in, with the house or with something completely different. I love the idea of an anthology as well."
