The Magic School Bus book series author Joanna Cole dies at 75

In 1986, Cole teamed with illustrator Bruce Degen on the book series following the antics of elementary school teacher Ms. Frizzle and her class, who boarded a "magic school bus" that took them on field trips to unusual times and locations. The Magic School Bus became a PBS animated series from 1994 to 1997. In 2017, Netflix rebooted the show as The Magic School Bus Rides Again.
