"Listening to it — a mix of classical, pop, and electronica — is like moving through water. The songs have a moody, liquid, sensual feel to them," says Madeleine Aggeler, adding: "The New Pope soundtrack makes me feel cool, lonely, excited, sad, and a little angry all at the same time. It makes me want to put on a fur coat and red lipstick and then lie despondently on the floor for an hour, staring at cracks in the ceiling, or slip into a grimy basement club for an hour on a weeknight, alone, make out with a stranger in the bathroom, and then leave. It is music to listen to when you finally say, 'F*ck it,' and send a risky text to that person you like, or while you smoke a cigarette on your stoop and mentally draft perfect, icy insults you will probably never deliver."
