Co-creators Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij discussed the possibility of a two-hour wrap-up movie, reports Variety, but two hours wouldn't have been sufficient to wrap up the five seasons worth of story they had planned. Since Netflix also produces The OA, another network can't save the show like Pop TV did with One Day at a Time. Additionally, The OA's cast members have been released from their contracts.
