The 1991 Barbra Streisand-Nick Nolte romantic drama film that Streisand directed, about a man who falls in love with his sister’s psychiatrist as he works out the issues that stem from his troubled childhood, is being developed as a potential TV series. The Help writer-director Tate Taylor is writing the potential series. According to The Hollywood Reporter, "offers are already being made to A-list talent ahead of a potential production start this summer." The Prince of Tides, which Becky Johnson and Pat Conroy wrote based on the Pat Conroy novel, was nominated for seven Oscars, including Best Picture, winning none.
