Gallagher, who previously told coaches that his mother was hospitalized with COVID-19, was dropped from the NBC reality competition before Monday's show. It's unclear how Gallagher broke coronavirus protocols, but he said on his Instagram Stories that his exit had nothing to do with a family emergency. On Monday's episode, host Carson Daly told viewers that Gallagher "had to exit the competition," but didn't mention why. "Thank you everybody for your concern for my family. However, everybody's fine," Gallagher said in an Instagram Story Monday night. "That's not the cause of what happened tonight on The Voice I didn't drop out of the show. Details are still to come. I'll keep you posted."
