The James Corden-hosted global talent reality competition premiered to 22.2 million after the Super Bowl. In its timeslot debut on Wednesday, its viewership fell to 5.55 million. Meanwhile, The Masked Singer topped Wednesday night while matching its lowest-rated episode to date. The World's Best's disappointing ratings is part of a trend for most post-Super Bowl shows. As The Hollywood Reporter explained last week, "most shows that have aired after the big game in the past decade-plus haven't been able to sustain ratings momentum...Recent history says those big ratings will fade quickly, if not immediately."
