Angus Wall’s Elastic firm was put on the map by Game of Thrones, leading to other series — from The Young Pope to True Detective to American Gods — to seek out the company’s ideas. “Game of Thrones is still referenced more so than anything that is more recent, even like, Westworld or True Detective,” says Jennifer Sofio Hall, Elastic’s managing director. “It was an incredibly iconic piece of entertainment. I think it reinvigorated the main-title category for the Emmys, and everything else.”
