The groundbreaking baby boomer drama debuted on Sept. 29, 1987, and won the Emmy for best drama series within a year. “It turned into such cultural phenomenon, the title made its way into the dictionary and, subsequently, into TV history,” notes The Hollywood Reporter. The trade publication caught up with the stars of Thirtysomething, as well as creators Marshall Herskovitz and Ed Zwick.
