Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb will continue to anchor Today's flagship 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. broadcast and provide a live news update at the top of the 9 a.m. hour, reports Variety. But after a staffer on Today's third hour contracted coronavirus, prompting co-hosts Al Roker and Craig Melvin to stay home Monday, Today will begin airing taped segments in its 9 a.m. and 10 a.m hours, beginning Tuesday. Variety reports that Melvin and Roker will continue to stay home. "The in-studio absence of Melvin and Roker makes production more difficult for the show’s 9 a.m. hour, where two other co-anchors – Dylan Dreyer and Sheinelle Jones – are both on leave," reports Variety's Brian Steinberg. "Dreyer recently had a new baby and Jones is on a medical break."
