When Maroon 5's yet-to-be-confirmed Super Bowl halftime gig was revealed three months ago, it was considered by some to be a "a slap in the fact to hip-hop," especially since next year's Super Bowl home of Atlanta features such a rich hip-hop history. TMZ reports that hip-hop artist Scott, who has the "hottest tour going" and who made his SNL debut in October, is expected to join Maroon 5 on stage on Feb. 3 at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium. People and Rolling Stone also say Scott will perform. If Scott and Maroon 5 do indeed perform, it would amid calls for a boycott over the NFL's treatment of Colin Kaepernick. Last week, it was reported that Maroon 5 was "having trouble" finding guests for the Super Bowl show. ALSO: Should Maroon 5 not play the Super Bowl halftime show?
