Perry's plan to quickly film the second seasons of Sistas and The Oval back-to-back with the casts and crew living under sequestration at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta to stave off coronavirus was a complete success. Perry dubbed it "Camp Quarantine." The Oval wrapped filming Season 2 on Friday after starting production on August 4, filming every day with one day off. "The 377 actors and crew members were regularly tested, with all COVID-19 tests coming back negative as Perry’s quarantine bubble held up for a second consecutive production," reports Deadline's Nellie Andreeva. "Season 2 of Perry’s other BET drama series, Sistas, was the first to film at Tyler Perry Studios with COVID-19 protocols. It also was able to finish ahead of schedule." Perry now plans to employ the same model with BET+ series Ruthless and Bruh.
