Sen. Joe Manchin, who represents West Virginia, accused the proposed reality show West Virginia Wilder of playing "into vicious stereotypes" in a letter set to Viacom's CEO. But Viacom and its cable network MTV have nothing to do with West Virginia Wilder, which is being independently produced by the makers of MTV's long-canceled Buckwild. Meanwhile, the show's producers slammed Manchin, accusing him of "just looking for attention."
