The three-hour 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET News Nation news programming block, launching this summer, will try to appeal to viewers who are sick of the commentary and partisan political discussions in primetime on the cable news networks. “Across our markets, we consistently hear from viewers who are seeking straight-ahead, unbiased news reporting that is grounded in fact, not opinion. News Nation will deliver exactly that,” WGN America executive vice president Sean Compton said in a statement.
