The Washington Post called out the MSNBC morning show for “telling viewers about their turkey dinners and mentioning the big football game the night before” on Friday morning, when their discussion was actually taped on Wednesday. “Day after Thanksgiving! Hoo! I’m stuffed,” said co-host Mika Brzezinski. As The Post noted, the word “live” wasn’t on the screen but viewers could still have been misled. On Saturday, co-host Joe Scarborough shot back at the story on Twitter: “We've been making fun of the practice for years. Its also over-the-top to be obvious.” Meanwhile, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert executive producer Chris Licht, who was the founding executive producer on Morning Joe, endorsed Scarborough’s tweet by saying “Seriously!” ALSO: Morning Joe on Monday mocked the "morons" who didn't get their "joke" -- "and we're doing it again on Christmas."
