Ibba Armancas, a director and screenwriter, was among those whose viewing of A Wrinkle in Time was disrupted on Sunday night -- and, yes, he had to sign a release to appear on television before watching the movie. "Yeah, they told us they were shooting something for a commercial and part of me was like, I’ve never seen footage of an audience in a commercial in my life, outside of maybe the Scream movies," he said. "But they also said this wasn’t the final cut of the movie, so I figured they were actually just going to look at us and ask us afterwards how we felt. Like it might help them decide a cut or something. So they did tell us they were going to film us but they kind of gave us a B.S. excuse—which to be fair I totally bought."
