Why Gloria Estefan opted to do a Red Table Talk spinoff after rejecting many talk show offers

Estefan says she's been approached to do Cuban-American versions of The Oprah Winfrey Show, Ellen and The View. But what drew her to Red Table Talk: The Estafans was watching Jada Pinkett-Smith in person having honest conversations. “When Jada came to me about this, I already thought the show was brilliant,” says Estefan. “Like, innovative and groundbreaking, to be able to actually talk without interruptions, without having to do a soundbite, without having to sell a product.”
