ABC's This Week, NBC's Meet the Press, CBS' Face the Nation and Fox's Fox News Sunday all featured guests Sunday who didn't think Joe Biden was legitimately elected president, as The Daily Show producer Matt Negrin pointed out in a Twitter thread. As Negrin notes, this is a weekly occurrence. The Washington Post's Erik Wemple specifically pointed to This Week substitute host Jonathan Karl questioning Rep. Steve Scalise about whether he believed the election was stolen. Scalise continued casting doubt on the legitimacy of the election. "As for Karl, he questioned Scalise on the election and on Trump’s role in riling up his supporters on Jan. 6," says Wemple. "That stuff, however, followed a straightforward discussion of other policy issues. Why not flip the order and ask first about the Big Lie? If the prominent House Republican refuses to acknowledge his betrayal of democracy, then say this: Thank you for your time, sir. We have no other questions. That’s merely a suggestion, though, not some tried-and-true solution to this problem. After all, when you’re dealing with these election liars, there is no solution. Let them stick to their more friendly interviewers at Fox News? Invite them on the Sunday shows at the risk that they’ll poison the airwaves? Both options stink."
