Unlike Dunham’s statement last week in support of her former Girls writer, the letter released this morning from the former female SNL staffers “did not aim to assassinate (radio host Leeann) Tweeden’s character or diminish her claim,” writes Rachel Winters. “While the SNL women could have chosen stronger language than ‘foolish’ and ‘stupid,’ they accepted that what Franken did was wrong.
