Barry's fourth season will likely be its last.
On the red carpet at the 74th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards last night, series star Henry Winkler told Variety that he expects the award-winning HBO series to conclude with its next season.
"Because Bill [Hader] and Alec [Berg] never try to stretch," he said. "I don't mean by stretch by being better... I mean they never try to stuff something that doesn't... they don't want to push it," said the Emmy nominee.
"You don't want it to end after four, do you?" asked the interviewer. "I don't!" said Winkler. "Because now I'm actor back on the street again. I'm wearing a sign!"
Barry Season 4 is set to see Bill Hader in the director's chair again for every episode, and writing for the season is currently underway. A premiere date has not been announced yet.
