Criminal Record: Peter Capaldi and Cush Jumbo to Star in Apple TV+ Thriller

Criminal Record, a new eight-episode thriller starring Peter Capaldi and Cush Jumbo, is coming to Apple TV+.

Capaldi and Jumbo play detectives in contemporary London who receive an anonymous phone call about an old murder case. Jumbo plays a young woman in the early stages of her career, while Capaldi plays a well-connected detective trying to preserve his legacy.

The two wind up in "a tug of war over a historic murder conviction," said Apple, which added, "The series touches on issues of race, institutional failure, and the quest to find common ground in a polarized Britain."

A release date for Criminal Record has not yet been announced.
