Dana Carvey had viewers seeing double during his second night as Jimmy Kimmel Live! guest host. In a monologue bit, the comedian took on multiple roles, debating himself as both Donald Trump and Joe Biden in a 2024 election preview.
With Kimmel's sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez on hand as moderator, Carvey seamlessly transformed himself into Biden and Trump as he switched out his wig and his demeanor while the camera cut back and forth. As Trump, he played an increasingly unhinged candidate who said gasoline was made of "dead dinosaur poop."
"We used to have so much of the T-Rex poop, you put it in your tank, you drive like you wouldn't believe, I'm telling you that," he said as Trump.
Carvey played Biden, on the other hand, as a confused old man who couldn't manage to answer any questions coherently.
"First, I get reelected, and every kid will get a yo-yo and a jar for keeping the frogs," he said in his Biden voice. "Also monkeypox: it's what's for dinner."
Guillermo even got in on the fun. "Goodnight, America. We are f*cked," he said, just after telling the two candidates, "You both lost the debate."
Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs weeknights at 11:35 PM ET on ABC.
