After 3 long years, Documentary Now! is returning to a screen near you.
In the trailer for the series' 53rd (or, y'know, fourth) season, Academy Award winner Helen Mirren returns as host reminds us that "stories that dare to tell the truth have never been more crucial to our culture." Fred Armisen and Bill Hader produce and star in this documentary spoof series, which is also executive produced by Alex Buono, Seth Meyers, and Rhys Thomas.
Cate Blanchett, Nicholas Braun (Succession), Alexander Skarsgård, Jonathan Pryce, and Jamie Demetriou (Stath Lets Flats, Fleabag) are among the slew of guest stars appearing this time around. The six-episode fourth season of the mockumentary will parody documentaries like Beaches of Agnes, My Octopus Teacher, When We Were Kings, The September Issue, and more.
"Now, more than ever, the world needs Documentary Now!" Mirren concludes.
Documentary Now! Season 4 premieres on AMC+ and IFC October 19.
