Harry & Meghan is doing some serious numbers for Netflix.
Since debuting December 8, the first three episodes of Harry & Meghan have racked up some 81.55 million hours viewed. This marks the most hours viewed across any Netflix documentary title in a premiere week. Netflix reports approximately 28 million member accounts worldwide watched the docuseries in its first four days on the platform.
Additionally, the docuseries kicked things off in the No. 2 spot on Netflix’s English-language TV rankings, and is also charting in the Top 10 in more than 80 countries. Harry & Meghan has been slammed by British outlets, but the numbers in the United Kingdom are also strong; the first episode drew 2.4 million viewers in the U.K., the largest single-day ratings for a series since Netflix joined U.K. service Barb in October.
Helmed by Academy Award-nominated director Liz Garbus (What Happened, Miss Simone?, Bobby Fischer Against the World), the six-episode series chronicles Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's relationship from its early days through their life-altering decision to step away from the royal family. Per the official synopsis, Harry & Meghan "does more than illuminate one couple’s love story, it paints a picture of our world and how we treat each other."
Harry & Meghan Volume 1 is currently streaming on Netflix. Volume 2 debuts on December 15.
