Hulu to Release Ivana Trump Documentary Special Friday Night

Hulu and ABC News are partnering on The Ivana Trump Story: The First Wife, a one-hour special that looks back on the life and legacy of Ivana Trump.

The Ivana Trump Story, which was announced by ABC Studios on Friday, includes archival footage, interviews, and contemporary voices to show how Ivana Trump helped build Donald Trump's empire.

"She was the Kardashians before there were Kardashians," one of her friends says in the trailer. "She was Kris Jenner."

It will also explore Ivana's marriage to (and subsequent divorce from) Donald Trump and how she managed to reinvent herself afterwards, said ABC Studios, adding, "A mother, an immigrant, a woman behind the man — the documentary explores the universal qualities of a life full of excess, success and hardship."

The special features interviews with George Wayne, journalist and former columnist at Vanity Fair; Linda Stasi, journalist, author, and former columnist at New York Daily News, New York Post, and Newsday; and Cindy Adams, the famed New York Post columnist, among others.

Ivana Trump died earlier this month at 73 from "blunt impact injuries" to her torso, according to a New York City medical examiner. Her death was ruled accidental.

The Ivana Trump Story: The First Wife will be available to stream on Hulu beginning at 6:00 PM ET Friday.
