The second season of HBO finance drama Industry premieres August 1, and the trailer teases new characters, emerging drama in the cutthroat industry, and office romances.
Set one year after the global pandemic sent the market into chaos, Industry Season 2 sees Pierpoint's recent graduates take their careers to the next level. Pierpoint is demanding a return to work for all employees, "or else," meaning Harper (Myha’la Herrold), Yasmin (Marisa Abela), and Robert (Harry Lawtey) must do whatever it takes to win business and forge new alliances.
The trailer marks the first look at Jay Duplass as Jesse Bloom, a reputable hedge fund manager who recently emigrated to the U.K. "I'm not interested in people who comment on the direction of the wind. I'd much prefer if you could make it blow," he tells Harper.
To make matters worse, Pierpoint employees learn that either the London or New York office will be taken over by the other, heightening the stakes for the junior staffers and executives alike.
Industry Season 2 premieres August 1 at 9:00 PM ET on HBO and HBO Max.
