Kate Winslet Will Star in HBO Limited Series Based on Hernan Diaz Novel 'Trust'

Kate Winslet is starring in another HBO limited series, this time based on Hernan Diaz's novel "Trust," which was published this past May. The series is currently in development, and the network is searching for a writer to adapt the book for television.

Trust follows a wealthy financier who reads a novel based on his own life and is dissatisfied by its portrayal of him and his wife. He asks a secretary to ghostwrite his memoir, but the secretary becomes aware that he's rewriting history and his wife's place in that history.

Winslet recently starred in the HBO limited series Mare of Easttown, for which she won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or TV Movie. Several years prior, she headlined HBO's Mildred Pierce, winning another Emmy in the same category.
