Max Greenfield isn't against a New Girl reboot, but he does think it's a little soon to get the gang back together.
The actor, who played type-A roommate Winston Schmidt on the Fox comedy, said he'd be open to the idea, but it would have to be done right. "I think if Liz [Meriwether] wanted to do it, who created the show, obviously, she thought there was some way back in," said Greenfield. "it would definitely be something I would be open to, but it's tough."
He added that the show had wrapped up so nicely that he would be hesitant to jump back inn. "I thought Lisa Kudrow said something really insightful when they were doing the Friends reunion," he said. "Which was the writers worked really hard on wrapping it all up in a way that was hopefully satisfying to the audience and satisfying to these characters."
"If you go back into it, it means you got to undo that, and that to me is argument enough to really question whether to go back or not," he continued. "The other part of it is, it wasn't that long ago."
New Girl aired on Fox for seven seasons from 2011 to 2018. Starring Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson, Lamorne Morris, Damon Wayans Jr., and Greenfield, the comedy chronicled the exploits of a woman and her four male roommates in Los Angeles.
New Girl is streaming on Netflix.
