Susan Tolsky, veteran comic character actress, has passed away. She was 79.
Tolsky's sister Noel Foreman confirmed that she died October 9 of natural causes. The actress was best known for playing Biddie Cloom in ABC Western comedy Here Come the Brides and Bernadette Van Gilder in sitcom Madame's Place.
She made her TV debut in an episode of The Second Hundred Years in 1968, and played a small role in Bewitched shortly after. Tolsky's breakout came during her time on Here Come the Brides, which ran from 1968 to 1970. She was also a regular on The New Bill Cosby Show from 1972 to 1973, and starred as the kooky neighbor of Lucy Arnaz in an episode of Here's Lucy in 1972.
Later on in her career, Tolsky transitioned to voice acting, lending her talents to series like Foofur, Cow and Chicken, Bobby's World, Darkwing Duck, Pepper Ann, and The Buzz on Maggie.
A funeral service for Tolsky was held on October 31.
