The long multi-spot ad campaign to promote the transformation of CBS All Access into Paramount+ culiminated in a gathering at the top of Paramount Mountain, where Sir Patrick Stewart of Star Trek: Picard summoned all the various intellectual properties for a celebration. The best spot, as ashamed as we may be to admit it, was when Michael Burnham of Star Trek: Discovery mentions the precarious ice bridge they must traverse has "a giant crack" in it, and Beavis & Butt-Head derail everything by giggling at that.
Here's the party at the summit, featuring Stewart, Stephen Colbert, James Corden, Tom Selleck, Jeff Probst, Christine Baranski, and many more, plus a rockin' Spongebob Squarepants concert. Once again Beavis & Butt-Head being confused by the girl from The Ring is the best joke.
Andy Hunsaker has a head full of sitcom gags and nerd-genre lore, and can be followed @AndyHunsaker if you're into that sort of thing.
